The overall intention of the visual component is to design a prototype user interface that establishes trust and engenders co-determination between the individual and the organization in the context of current and next generation workplace surveillance technology.

The prototype will be designed to facilitate a few, discreet scenarios that sufficiently demonstrate the interaction model and key functionality pertinent to exploring and testing the thesis statement. The prototype—or simulation—will be built in a few basic phases, moving from sketches, to wireframes, to interactive wireframes, to the final version which will include a sufficient level of visual and interaction design detail. When appropriate, the prototype will be tested with users to gather research insights which will be documented in the written component.

The final version of the prototype will be created in Axure, a UX prototyping application, and will be consumable via most modern web browsers.
